i think it's import to have a handful of places to go or books to open or paths to walk or garden patches to look upon when you are searching for more than the limited expanse of your own thoughts.
whenever i feel a need for inspiration, i most always turn to the natural world around me ~ it has always been this way, for as long as i can possibly remember. if ever i feel out of sorts, i usually step outside, even into the smallness of our wild backyard, and just quietly take it in.

it is quite possibly my new favorite hobby, and i wish i had begun years ago.
It is beautiful and calming.

DeleteThis reminds me of the offerings they place everywhere in India.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Kerrie!
oh, i'd love to know more about this! do you have any more info on this? xox
DeleteI've never been, but it is on my bucket list, and I love looking at pictures and hearing others stories who have been to Bali. I said India, but I meant Bali. The Balinese people leave offerings to their gods several times a day. You will see them everywhere on street corners, doorsteps, shop fronts, etc. It's a ritual of giving back, respect and appreciation. Look up Balinese Offerings, and I'm sure you can get a more detailed description. It's such a beautiful gesture and a deep part of their culture.
